Why we don’t offer guide-only services
We often receive inquiries from people seeking private guide services. We understand the appeal. Many travelers assume that a professional Jewish tour company can easily connect them with a network of specialized guides in Jewish heritage, history, and sites. Indeed, a local guide with the right expertise and sensibility can bring a destination to life in a way few other elements can. We are proud to work with an outstanding network of guides in many destinations.
However, it is important to clarify how we work. Momentum is not a guide agency – we are a tour company. This distinction is not semantic; it is fundamental to the kind of experiences Momentum has been creating for decades.

A complete travel experience
Our programs are carefully designed, fully integrated journeys. Each itinerary we operate is built as a cohesive whole, combining accommodations, transportation, expert guiding, and historical and cultural depth into a meaningful narrative.
These components are not independent – they are interdependent. The guide is not an isolated service, but part of a broader, curated experience in which every element supports the other. Bringing together years of expert Jewish travel experience, Momentum serves as this curator.
The reality of “Guide-only” requests
Asking us to arrange guide-only services may appear simple, but in practice it is complex and time-intensive. It requires understanding the travelers’ needs, matching the appropriate expertise, aligning expectations and communication styles, designing a meaningful and well-paced program, and coordinating timing, locations, and access.
This is, in essence, the work of building a full itinerary – just without the supporting framework that ensures quality, continuity, and accountability.
In fact, many of these requests come from travelers who have already independently arranged hotels and logistics, but then encounter difficulty finding the right guide. Pricing expectations are often shaped by online listings, where guides – of widely varying qualifications – advertise directly to consumers. These rates rarely reflect the level of curation, vetting, and program design that we consider essential.

Our recommendation
For travelers who prefer to arrange their own journeys, we recommend continuing to use the same independent research methods used to secure accommodations and other services. But for those seeking a more comprehensive and complete experience – where all elements are aligned and thoughtfully executed – that is what we are here for.
Our company vision
Momentum was built on a clear philosophy: travel should be purposeful, immersive, and engaging. We specialize in Jewish-themed journeys that explore history, identity, memory, and culture with depth and sensitivity.
These are not off-the-shelf sightseeing tours. They are structured experiences, designed with care and intention, and supported by a team with many years of experience. Meaningful travel is not assembled piece by piece. It is conceived and executed as a whole, with a beginning, middle and end creatively unfolding according to exacting standards. That is where we focus our expertise, where we deliver the greatest value, and how we have earned our position as one of the leading Jewish Tour Companies.
We wish you success in planning a meaningful and rewarding journey.
