  • What is the difference between a featured tour and a custom tour?
    We are travel specialists and proud to have a worldwide network of longstanding contacts. Our featured tours are scheduled to leave at specific dates and with a pre-set program that has been developed through years of experience. If that doesn’t fit your needs,  we can customize a tour especially for you. Then you can travel on dates that fit your schedule, and with an itinerary personally designed for your interests and enthusiasms. So why not treat your family to a special occasion, or bring friends along from your work, organization, synagogue or travel club?

    How do I sign up for a tour?
    You can sign up using the registration form included on this website. Print it, fill it out, and send it to us with your $100 deposit. You can also, of course, call us for a brochure and registration form. We will send you what you need, and all you need to do isto fill it out and return it to us with your $100 deposit.

    How do I pay for my tour?
    You can pay in the way that fits you best – by check or by credit card. For all custom tours, a 3% addtional fee will be added when paying with credit cards.

    Can I make my own air arrangements?
    Yes, you can buy a land-only package. We know that many of you have collectering generous mileage - so why not use your mileage plan when you travel with us? However, please note that arrival transfers to the hotel usally are complimentary included on our regular tours. All you have to do is to forward your flight details and we make sure someone will meet you and bring you to the hotel.

    Does Momentum Tours always feature places of Jewish interest?
    Yes, we always include Jewish points of interest on our Featured Tours. Since Jewish history has coincided with most of the places we visit, we are proud to present a Jewish perspective when traveling. Unlike most other tour companies, we celebrate the Jewish experience. Traveling with us, you will also help support communities (some of which are struggling) world-wide. Your visit is a gift to these communities.

    Are your tours Kosher?
    Our tours in Israel are strictly Kosher. Outside Israel, we always offer choices, including fish and vegetarian-based menus, to best serve your needs. Please note, we can customize strictly Kosher tours to most parts of the world for small or large groups.

    If I need a visa for my trip, will Momentum Tours assist me?
    Of course, we will always assist you with visas and will inform you about visas needed for U.S. citizens. We provide all documents required for the visas and include instructions for filling out applictions, etc.

    Are your tours recommended for families?
    Yes, we are proud of always having generations in mind when creating tours. However, not all tours are appropriate for younger children, so we recommend that you always consult us if you are interested in a tour for you and your family.

    Do you offer a Traveler’s Protection Plan?
    We certainly do. We consider a Travel Protection Plan to be money well spent. Unexpected events may take place at any time in our busy lives. Please note, Travel Protection Plans can only be purchased shortly after signing up for a tour.  These plans themselves are relatively inexpensive, and they are fully refundable up to 91 days prior to a tour. All in all, a smart move for the sophisticated traveler, and we strongly recommend that you purchase one. 

    What can you offer the solo traveler?
    We welcome single travelers, and develop tours with single travelers in mind. Our new division, Travel for Women, has brought the single traveler in focus. As a solo traveler, you can choose to stay in a single room or let us help you to find a person with whom to share a double. Please note that hotels always charge a supplement for single rooms.        

    How much baggage may I take?
    The amount of luggage you may bring depends on the tour you have chosen. On tours abroad where local  flights are included,  local limitations on the amount of luggage will limit us. In general, however,  you may bring one standard-sized suitcase, plus a carry-on.

    Can I bring my child or grandchild on a Momentum Tours trip?
    By all means.  It might be one of the best things you ever did with your child or grandchild. You will develop even stronger bonds, and share special moments for many years to come. Since our tours vary in age-appropriateness, however, please always request whether your choice of tour is suitable for all children.

    How do you handle airline special requests?
    Once you sign up on a tour, we will do our utmost to fulfill your requests, and in most cases will be able to satisfy your needs. Always consider that the earlier you book, the more likely it is that your request will be fulfilled.

    What happens if I need to cancel?
    We have made the process for cancellation as simple and clear as possible, and highly recommend that every traveler purchase a Travel Protection plan. All payment (including insurance fees) is fully refundable  up to 91 days prior to the departure date of the tour for which you have signed up.
