    Jewish tours to Israel

Tel Aviv - Haifa - Rosh Hanikra - Galilee - Golan - Tzfat - Jerusalem - Dead Sea - Negev - Mizpe Ramon - Tel Aviv

Homeland, inspiration, center of our souls, this land has been in our prayers for millennia. Whether you have visited Israel before or are a first timer, this tour is a colorful composition of the best of Israel. Spectacular sights, a great variety of cultural encounters (and cuisines) and unforgettable extras make this tour stand way ahead of the pack. And yes, our hotel in Jerusalem is within walking distance of the Kotel and Ben Yehuda. Why settle for less?

Day 01 Monday Arrival in Tel Aviv
Arrival to Ben Gurion Airport. Welcome Home to the land of Israel! Transfer to Tel Aviv, which means "Hill of Spring" - a beacon of hope and renewal to Jewish people everywhere. Check in at the beachfront hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a welcoming panoramic tour of Tel Aviv, including the historic Yafo. In the evening, enjoy a Welcome Dinner. Renaissance Hotel.

    Day 02 Tuesday Tel Aviv
Full Israeli Breakfast Today, begin with a full day tour of this busy city with a visit to the Ayalon Institute, Nahalat Binyamin, Neve Zedek neighborhood and the Carmel Market. Later, visit the Latrun Tank Museum. Remainder of the day at leisure. Renaissance Hotel.

Day 03 Wednesday Tel Aviv – Haifa – Galilee
Full Israeli Breakfast. Next, depart Tel Aviv, driving along the glittering Mediterranean coast to the vital port of Haifa, a breezy city (third largest in Israel) often compared to San Francisco. Enjoy the Sightseeing will include Mt. Carmel, for a panoramic view of the Bay and an emotional visit to the Atlit Detention camp, used by the British to hold the Jewish "illegal" immigrants arriving in the 1940s. Next, to Moshav Hosen, a Moroccan enclave, where Rimona invites us into her bakery, full of all sorts of Moroccan delicacies – from breads to cheeses to preserves – all home-made, making a perfect Lunch. Continue to Rosh Hanikra on the northern border, and visit its beautiful grottoes. Continue to your Kibbutz in the Galilee. Dinner. Kibbutz Lavi.

Day 04 Thursday Upper Galilee – Golan
Full Israeli Breakfast. Today you will travel to the northern part of Israel. See the Golan, the Jordan river, visit a winery in the hilly and fertile land. Later visit the holy and mystical city of Tzfat, famed for its historical synagogues and wonderful artists' quarter, which carry the mystical ambience of the Kabbalah. Return to the kibbutz. Surprise Dinner this evening. Kibbutz Lavi.

Day 05 Friday Galilee – Jerusalem
Full Israeli Breakfast. Today, drive south along the Jordan River to the remarkable archeological site of Beit Shean, where you will visit the excavated amphitheater. Continue along the Jordan Valley to Qumran, (where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered). Continue to Jerusalem. Upon arrival in Jerusalem (appropriately, after crossing the desert), stop at Mt. Scopus for a touching, panoramic view of the city of our dreams. Here, say the blessing of "Shehecheyanu," thanking God for bringing us to this time and place. Later, continue to the traditional market Mahane Yehuda, home to generations of devout Jews, living much as our ancestors did in pre-Holocaust Europe – and as many Chassidim, around the world, continue to live today. Time to stroll the market and witness how citizens of Jerusalem prepare for shabbat. Return to the hotel with time to rest. Why is this night different from all the others? Because tonight, you are going to experience Shabbat in Jerusalem! In the late afternoon, transfer to the Western Wall for the welcome of Shabbat in the place where all prayers are heard. Return to the hotel for Kabbalat Shabbat Dinner, full of all the joy Shabbat in Jerusalem can bring. Mount Zion.

    Day 06 Saturday Jerusalem
Full Israeli Breakfast. Full day at leisure to enjoy Shabbat in the city of all cities. As Shabbat ends, join the city as it comes back to its lively atmosphere. Mount Zion Hotel.

    Day 07 Sunday Jerusalem
Full Israeli Breakfast. This morning, visit to the Old City by entering through the Dung Gate to the Western Wall – our beloved Kotel. Next, on to the Jewish Quarter and the Roman Cardo. In the afternoon, drive to the Knesset (Israel's Parliament), where you will see the grand Menorah, the ancient – and enduring - symbol of our land. Visit the Israel museum. In the evening, a rare spectacle is awaiting as you depart for a tour of the illuminated Jerusalem. First, enjoy Dinner at a local restaurant, followed by a tour of the illuminated Kotel where you will visit the Rabinical Tunnel. It is a true delight to experience Jerusalem illuminated. Mount Zion Hotel.

    Day 08 Monday Jerusalem
Full Israeli Breakfast. Full Israeli Breakfast. This morning visit Yad Vashem, the profoundly moving museum of the Holocaust, and of the Righteous Gentiles who did all they could to save Jewish lives. You will also pay tribute to our fallen Jewish soldiers at Mt. Herzl cemetery (where Herzl and Rabin are buried). Mount Zion Hotel.

Day 09 Tuesday Jerusalem – Dead Sea – Mitzpe Ramon
Full Israeli Breakfast. Depart Jerusalem and descend to the Dead Sea. Stop in the green Oasis of Ein Gedi where fresh water flow in the dry desert land. Later, visit Masada, one of the most touching sites in Jewish history. Ascending by cable car, you will see the site of the final, courageous standoff of a small group of Jewish zealots against the cruel domination of Rome. Continue to Ein Boker (near Massada) and cool down at the Hod resort. Here you can experience a swim in the salty Dead Sea and followed by a refreshing Lunch. Later, continue via some of the most scenic roads in the Negev desert to Mizpe Ramon. Check in at the hotel overlooking the Ramon Crater. In the late afternoon board sturdy jeep 4x4s, and begin a journey into the largest crater in the Negev. Here, you will get introduced to the magic of the desert, its geology, formations, cultures and life. In the evening, rest after a fantastic day and enjoy the Dinner at the hotel. Mipze Ramon Inn.

Day 10 Wednesday Mizpe Ramon – Departure from Tel Aviv airport
Full Israeli Breakfast. Enjoy the morning at leisure. Make sure you see how the light of the desert is constantly changing from the sunrise until the sun is high on the sky. You even have time to relax at the pool  before check out at noon. Drive to Sde Boker for a visit to the home of Israel’s first Prime Minister, Ben Gurion. Above all, Ben Gurion understood that Israel would have to befriend the desert and make it fertile to exist. Ben Gurion truly understood that the gift the Jews were given as Israel, was 90% dry desert land.  Visit Ben Gurion’s simple house at Sde Boker, so symbolic of the man himself. Continue through the scenic northern part of the Negev and arrive in Tel Aviv in the late afternoon. Free time for last minute activities or shipping for just one more gift.  Farewell Dinner in a local restaurant. Later, transfer to the Ben Gurion airport and check-in for your homebound flight.
